CONNECTION BETWEEN HEALTH AND SOCIAL INEQUALITIES. WHO AND EU POLICIES ADDRESSING INEQUALITIES IN HEALTH, Galinka Pavlova, Vladimir Gonchev
Abstract: Whatever the healthcare development and improvement is, addressing inequalities does not
appear to produce the expected results, and the problem remains relevant. WHO and EU are creating
policies to address the inequalities in health that are continuously growing for various reasons. The aim
of this article is to point out the consequences arising from the link between social inequalities and health.
Addressing health inequalities is a fundamental issue of social justice and human rights. WHO and EU
join their vision and co-work towards creating a healthier world where everyone has equal access to
healthcare.
