APPLICATION OF CO2 LASER IN AMBULATORY GYNECOLOGICAL PRACTICE, Darina Davidova, Valentin Irmov

Summary: The purpose of the study is to show the effectiveness of the application of the CO2
laser in outpatient settings in the treatment of gynecological conditions - otherwise
necessitating hospital treatment. Diseases of the female genitalia, the possibilities for their
treatment, as well as the recovery period from treatment in an outpatient setting to that in a
hospital, are discussed. In the treatment of VPO diseases, cervical vulvo-vaginal atrophy
formations, stress urinary incontinence with a CO2 laser, the need for surgical treatment is
eliminated, the recovery period is reduced - respectively, no hospital stay, no need to issue a
temporary disability certificate, lack of need for anesthesia (with the exception of local
application of anesthetic preparations).
