ABSTRACT: This project is aimed at presenting the advantages of a method of education of residents in orthopaedics and traumatology through adapting and integrating innovative training courses and emphasizing on the importance of e-learning as an anti-crisis measure in the process of teaching in the conditions of a crisis due to pandemic. Material and Methods: An E-learning course in orthopaedics and traumatology methodology is presented and discussed in details, after being approved by an analysis of experience and needs or orthopaedic surgeons and residents in three participating countries. Definition of learning outcomes for surgeons' courses is performed. Results: Each participating country has its own regulations, training practices and certification rules and this objective addresses the specific needs of the relevant health system. These differences become minimal in the conditions of a crisis and teaching has to follow an unified approach due to the changed needs and profile of the patients. Conclusion: E-learning in the conditions of a crisis creates opportunities for presenting missing nosology and compensates for the changed occupational profile of the residents in orthopaedics and traumatology and in this way becomes an important anti-crisis measure in education and health sector.
