COMPLEX METHODOLOGY OF MARINE SPECIALISTS' RESEARCH, Rositsa Nedeva, Velislava Raynova and Dimitar Stavrev
ABSTRACT: Each scientific activity requires the establishment of a methodology of research, which guarantees the validity of the results obtained. The purpose of this paper is to describe the combination of physiological and psychological methods for assessing the functional status and resilience to occupational stress of marine professionals. The reading of physiological parameters is through the use of hardware research and is aimed at systems in the human body directly related to survival in the aquatic environment - respiratory system, cardiovascular system and musculoskeletal system. The assessment of the current mental state is done by filling out a questionnaire and self-assessment quests for current mental state and resilience to stress. The results are recorded, archived, tabulated and analyzed. Correlations between the two different approaches to the same study are reported.
